- Practice SpellingCity with NEW LISTS until 9:10 a.m.
- Listen for announcements & pledge of allegiance.
- Have students clean up and come to front, center floor area at 9:10 a.m.
9:05-9:30> MORNING MEETING

- This is a great time to formally introduce yourself and have students do the same.
- PLEASE ANNOUNCE that NO ONE will be going into the reading tent (camper) nor my office today.
- Have students open their Chromebooks to check that these plans are in their email inbox and on our website.
- Go over the schedule with them as they follow along.

- If it is not yet 9:30, have students may read quietly at desks.
- MUST DO: Spelling contract practice and read 1-2 chapters in student immigration novels
- MUST DO #1: Students make sure they do the following:
- Have found “just right” spelling list.
- Copied new words onto their word list doc.
- Before making choices, students must complete ONE of their spelling contract menu choices at their desks. This DOES NOT include SpellingCity, and the BOUNCING ball activity for spelling is not allowed today.

- Students should gather as many facts about their chosen state as possible.
- Make sure lunch tub is downstairs.
- Students bring jackets outside, if needed.
12:45-1:45> MATH
- ALO MATH students: Jake, Noam, Zach K, Zachary L, Asher, Russell
- Students log onto ALEKS and practice their “pie” (they know what this means) until 1:00 p.m.
- Have students return to front, center floor at 1:00 for group instructions.
- Ask Cassidy & Sydney to put out all math centers.
- MUST DO: Learnzillion Videos -- Students have been previously given their Learnzillion logins. They may not need them to watch the videos, but if someone does, they need to look back into their email or share with a partner.
- Students may have already watched the videos below. If so, they still need to REWATCH THEM as a REFRESHER.

- Most students also have note taking pages, but if not, or if they need more, extras are on teacher desk.
- Students should gather as many facts about their chosen state as possible.
- Some students may be farther along than others. If students have gathered notes, they may start working on creating their presentations (Powerpoints, Prezi, Powtoons), including as many details and book/internet sources as possible.
Use this for students who struggle with an activity despite your assistance, or those who may finish all must-do and choice activities with time left to spare.
